1. Introduction
Welcome to pdfriend.in. We believe that privacy is not a luxury, but a fundamental right—especially when handling sensitive legal and personal documents. Unlike traditional online PDF tools that require you to upload files to their servers, pdfriend.in is engineered to work entirely in your browser. This policy explains how we protect your information while providing powerful document utilities.
2. Technical Safeguards
WebAssembly Processing: We use compiled binary code (WASM) to run heavy PDF operations directly on your hardware.
Local Blob Storage: Temporary files are stored as local browser "Blobs" that never touch a network socket.
Encrypted Sessions: Even though we don't store files, your connection to our interface is fully encrypted via SSL.
No Backend DB: We do not maintain a database of user files or document metadata.
3. Analytics & Cookies
Performance Monitoring
We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services.
Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising.
For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Note: These monitoring tools only track interface interactions and cannot see or access the content of the documents you process locally.
Advertising & Third Parties
Google Adsense may use cookies to serve relevant ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You can opt-out of personalized advertising by visiting your Google Ad Settings.
