What is Photo GeoTagging?
GeoTagging is the process of embedding geographical metadata, such as Latitude and Longitude, into an image file. Modern smartphones and professional cameras use an internal GPS sensor to save this data into the EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) header of every photo you take.
Our Photo GeoTag Stamper takes this "hidden" data and makes it visible by "burning" it onto the photo itself. This creates a permanent, visual record of exactly where and when a photo was captured.

Technical Details
Metadata Extraction: Our engine reads the 0x8825 (GPS IFD) tag within the JPEG header to extract WGS84 coordinates.
Privacy First: Unlike other tools, we do not use an external Map API like Google Maps. This ensures your coordinates are never sent to a third-party server during the stamping process.
Data Integrity: The stamp is rendered using HTML5 Canvas directly onto the source pixel buffer, ensuring zero loss in original resolution.
How to preserve GPS data on Android?
Android's default "Gallery" picker often strips metadata for security reasons. To ensure your location data is preserved:
Open Camera Settings and enable "Location Tags".
When uploading here, choose "Files" or "Documents".
Never send photos via WhatsApp before uploading (metadata is lost).
